Through the efforts of Past District Governor Craig Bowen, Rotary Woolloongabba has sponsored a new Interact Club at Church of England Grammar School (Churchie) at East Brisbane. Starting with a handful of members, the Interactors set their sights for their first fund raising foray on “Shelterbox” a disaster relief agency connected to Rotary. Displaying a shelterbox, its tent for a family and the utensils within it in the library they raised sufficent money to purchase their first Shelterbox in aid of Ukrainian refugees. Their next challenge is to build their membership to outstrip the other Grammar Schools.
